Jonathan Kelly (3) from Athy was the winner of today's Hilary Golf Society outing sponsored by RaboDirect which took place in Seapoint. He was a model of consistency shooting level par on both nines and his net 69 gave him a one shot winning margin over Sean Murphy (4) Greenore.
Alan Dowling (Plus 1) Hermitage shot 71 to claim the gross prize, covering the first 9 holes in four under par 32.
The professional prize was won by Bernard Quigley (Tulfarris) with a fine 71 leaving him two shots clear of former European Tour player Gary Murphy.
Sean Murphy was joined on the winning team by Niall Lavin (3) The Royal Dublin and Vincent Carney (5) Beech Park with a 61.

The first outing of the 2017 season was won by Brendan Mc Donnell (K Club) with a 68. The highlight of his fine round was an eagle 3 at the 6th.
Best Gross went to John Greene (Portmarnock) with an excellent 70.
The net runner up spot went to Paul Reilly (Co. Louth) with a 69. Clem Walshe (Dundalk) finished in 3rd place with 70 beating a number of players with a superior last 9 holes.
Paul Reilly was joined by Alan Doherty (Corrstown), Ray Gregan (Forrest Little), and Terry Lilly ( Slade Valley) in winning the team prize with a fine 61. It was also won on the break of a tie over the last 3 holes.
The CSS for Gold and Silver medal purposes was 70.
